In partnership with the North Georgia Conservation Coalition, the Dawson County Library will host an Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 20th from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. This will be a family friendly event where you can learn more about the beauty of Mother Earth.

Activities include:

  • Poster contest for all grade levels; winners announced at 10:45 AM
  • Kids’ tables with face-painting, coloring, games, and arts & crafts
  • Raffle each hour for environmental books and other high end items (Proceeds go to the North Georgia Conservation Coalition)
  • Tables with information on conserving our environment from government environmental groups, local businesses, civic groups, and more

We will host the Sierra Club, Etowah River Keepers, and Keep Dawson Beautiful along with other local organizations for a day of fun celebrating nature and learning how to keep our Earth healthy. Drop in and marvel at Mother Nature with us! This event is FREE!
