The quarterly meeting of the Dawson County Library Board of Trustees (agenda) will be held Monday, July 21, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. at the Dawson County Library, 342 Allen Street, Dawsonville, GA.

The quarterly meeting of the Lumpkin County Library Board of Trustees (agenda) will be held Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. at the Lumpkin County Library, 342 Courthouse Hill, Dahlonega, GA.

The quarterly meeting of the Chestatee Regional Library System Board of Trustees (agenda) will be held Monday, July 28, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. at the Lumpkin County Library, 342 Courthouse Hill, Dahlonega, GA.

All meetings are open to the public.  Members of the audience may be allowed to speak at the end of the regular business session, if recognized by the Chairman.  Visitors may not participate in board discussion of items on the agenda.

For all you Do-It-Yourself car mechanics - you will be able to access Chilton’s car manuals on-line! 
Standard features include:

World Vital Records

World Vital Records is one of the largest and most resourceful providers of digitized and searchable historical records anywhere!  You can access records from the U.S., U.K., Europe and the rest of the world.  Along with standard key collections such as the complete U.S. and U.K. census records and an enhanced Social Security Death Index, you will also find rare and exclusive collections, such as birth, marriage and death records and immigration records from Germany and other European countries.  There are many historical photos and more than 1.5 billion family tree profiles.




Fold3 by Ancestry.com provides convenient on-line access to US military records, including the stories, photos, and personal documents of the men and women who have served our country.  Original records help you discover and share stories about forgotten soldiers and the families that supported them.  You can combine records found on the site with what you have in your own albums and shoeboxes to create an online memorial for someone who served.

Job Opening - Lumpkin County Library Print E-mail

Lumpkin County Library Circulation Assistant,
Part Time, 17 hours per week

The Circulation Assistant staffs the circulation desk, registers and assists patrons, checks library materials in and out, answers the phone, handles hold requests, shelves and straightens, and performs other general library duties.  Requires at least a High School diploma or GED. Pays $10.38 per hour. 


  • Mondays 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Wednesdays 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Fridays 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Saturdays *See below

*Schedule requires working every third Saturday – during those weeks you will be off the following Wednesday.
