On May 3, 2013, several community organizations were honored to receive a donation from the Lumpkin County Retired Educators Association. The Lumpkin County Library was fortunate to be included. As part of the Association’s “Invest in the Future Grant”, a check in the amount of $ 500.00 was presented to branch manager, Tracey Thomaswick. These funds will be specifically used for youth enrichment activities, including the vacation reading program and fall storytime activities. Chestatee Regional Library System appreciates both the financial support from the Lumpkin County Retired Educators and the shared goal or serving the children of Lumpkin County. |

Every year vacancies occur on the Chestatee Regional Library System, Lumpkin County Library and Dawson County Library Boards of Trustees. County Commissioners appoint board members for four-year terms. If you are interested in serving on the library Board of Trustees, please read the Expression of Interest/Board Application document, then fill it out and return it to your local library or mail to the library director at the address provided.
