Storytime programs are designed to best serve groups of not more than 20 children. No pre-registration is required, but groups larger than five are requested to call at least two days in advance. Check the calendar below for upcoming storytime programs.

Dawson Satellite Library, Wednesdays at 11 am
It’s never too early to chew on a good book! Book Babies is designed for babies (along with their parents) from birth to 23 months. We’ll be creating building blocks of early literacy through songs, action rhymes, books, and playtime. These are wonderful times for your babies to hear lots of language, and a great opportunity for you to meet new parents, as well! (Structured activity for 15 minutes with playtime after.)
Movers and Shakers
Dawson County Library, Thursdays at 11 am
A fun and exciting experience for you and your child! Movers and Shakers is designed for children ages 2-5. These programs last 30-45 minutes and include stories, songs, finger plays, crafts, and a snack!
Lumpkin County Library, Wednesdays at 11 am & 2 pm
Building Blocks is designed for children ages 2 to 5. The program lasts approximately 45 minutes and may include songs, fingerplays, and crafts in addition to the stories.
Put on your snuggliest PJs and join us for storytime fun! We’ll share stories, sing songs, share a craft, and wear our pajamas, of course. Fun for the whole family and open to all ages! Please check our calendar for monthly pajama storytimes at the Lumpkin and Dawson County Libraries.
