This program is intended for children ages 2-5. No pre-registration is required, but we request groups larger than 5 to call at least two days in advance. The program lasts about 45 minutes and may include songs, fingerplays, and crafts, in addition to stories.

Tai Chi

If you’re looking for a way to reduce stress, consider tai chi (TIE-CHEE). Originally developed for self-defense, tai chi has evolved into a graceful form of exercise that’s now used for stress reduction and a variety of other health conditions. Often described as meditation in motion, tai chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements. This is beginner group who will meet every Monday from 10:00AM-11:00AM

Little Hands Art Class

This program is a great introduction to storytime for toddlers. We’ll read a quick story or two and then dive into a toddler friendly craft to do with a caregiver. Warning: We may give your toddler tempera paint. Please dress accordingly.

Adult Craft Night

Come get crafty at Dawson County Library on the last Tuesday of each month. Our September craft will be Halloween Cards! Everyone is asked to bring your favorite cookies (homemade or store bought) to share with the group. All supplies will be provided.
