In partnership with the Dahlonega Rotary Sunrise, the Lumpkin County Library will be offering a FREE shredding day for the community. On Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 10:00 am – 12:00 p.m. ,we will have a document destruction truck onsite. You may bring up to five boxes of confidential information to be shredded. No need to remove staples, but any metal bands or other metal must be removed. Please take your empty boxes with you. You may remain in your car, and a Rotary volunteer will assist you.
Calling all teens 6th grade – 12th grade! Stop by the library to hang out with other teens, socialize, and create a cool craft to take home. All supplies provided for these FREE programs. The first Thursday of each month from 4 – 5 pm.
Description:Gather to work on your current project and have a fun time with fellow needlework fanatics! Whether you like crochet, knitting, cross stitch, needlepoint, quilting, or anything in between, this group is open to all! Beginners welcome! (However there is no instructor.) This club is for ages 18 and up, completely free and open to the public.
Join us for Stitch in Time every Friday morning from 10:00 am to 12:00 p.m. You are welcome to bring any type of crafting project that you are working on, and share a time of crafting and conversation with others in the community. Reading to dogs helps children build self confidence in a comfortable, accepting environment. This is an opportunity for your child to practice his or her reading skills for fifteen minutes, working one-on-one with a therapy dog and his or her trainer.
