Building Blocks

Building Blocks Storytime is designed for children ages 4 to 5. No registration is required, but groups larger than five are requested to call at least two days in advance. Bring Your Own Technology
Oct 13 @ 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM

Join us on October 13th at the Lumpkin County Library for our Bring Your Own Technology sessions! This event will consist of patrons bringing their own technology—be it a laptop, phone, or tablet—and receiving one-on-one assistance using them from our Information Specialist, Anna Garland. Sessions will be an hour long, and patrons will need to schedule beforehand. Available time slots will be 1:30-2:30 PM, 2:45-3:45 PM, and 4:00-5:00 PM. Authors in the Afternoon

In partnership with the Friends of the Lumpkin County Library, join us for our next in the Authors in the Afternoon series, featuring local author Larry Freeland. Mr. Freeland will be talking about his historical fiction book, “Chariots in the Sky: A Story About U.S. Assault Helicopter Pilots at War in Vietnam. Following the presentation, Mr. Freeland will be available for a Q & A session. Light refreshments will be served. Following the program, the Friends of the Library will be meeting for their October meeting at 4:30 p.m.

Needlework Fridays

Description:Gather to work on your current project and have a fun time with fellow needlework fanatics! Whether you like crochet, knitting, cross stitch, needlepoint, quilting, or anything in between, this group is open to all! Beginners welcome! (However there is no instructor.) This club is for ages 18 and up, completely free and open to the public.
