Authors in the Afternoon: Mark Braught @ Lumpkin

Lumpkin County Library Branch
July 11 from 3:00pm-4:30pm
Presented by the Friends of the Library, everyone is invited to join us for our next Authors in the Afternoon event, featuring Mark Braught, a children's illustrator. Mr. Braught has illustrated a number of children's books, including “P is for Peach, A Georgia Alphabet” and “Cosmo’s Moon” (which was nominated for a Caldecott Award in 2004). Notably, Mark created the full-color paintings for the merchandising of Warner Brother’s movie,“ Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone”. Mark is a happy resident of Commerce, Georgia. There will be a presentation and drawing workshop that will begin at 3:00 p.m., followed by a Q&A session and light refreshments. After the presentation, the public is invited to attend the April meeting of the Friends of the Lumpkin County Library, to be held at 4:30 pm. We hope to see you there!
