Census 2020
Slide 2020 is the year for the nationwide census, and everyone should be counted! Although conducted at a national level, census information is used to determine funding for many local and county programs, including the library, school district, public transportation, and housing. The Chestatee Regional Library System would like to help you if you haven’t yet completed your census. Each library in CRLS has dedicated computers that you may borrow to complete the census. You don’t have to have a library card; just stop at the front desk, and we will help you get started! While completing the census form may seem like it doesn’t matter, or you may feel like is more of a bother than anything else, remember that each and every citizen counts, and this is a way to make sure that YOU make a difference! For every person in Georgia that is counted, the state of Georgia will receive $ 2300.00 from the federal government; that’s 24 billion dollars a year! THAT’S WHY WE ALL COUNT! I count! You count!! WE ALL COUNT!!!
