Storytime programs are designed to best serve groups of no more than 20 children. No pre-registration is required, but groups larger than five are requested to call at least two days in advance.

This program promotes early literacy using stories, songs, fingerplays, and a craft. Movers and Shakers is designed for children ages 2 to 3 and lasts approximately 45 minutes. 

Book Babies

It’s never too early to chew on a good book! Designed for babies from birth to 23 months (along with their parents), this program builds the foundation of early literacy through songs, action rhymes, books, and playtime.

Storytime is a wonderful opportunity for your babies to hear lots of new language and for you to meet other new parents!

We will have structured activity for 15 minutes with playtime afterward.

Building Blocks

This program creates the building blocks of early literacy through songs, fingerplays, and crafts in addition to traditional stories. Building Blocks is designed for children ages 4 to 5 and lasts approximately 45 minutes.

Babies Morning Out

Lumpkin County Library

This program promotes socialization of both parents and babies! We provide the space, toys, and books, just bring your baby and have fun! This program runs at 11 am on the first and third Tuesday of each month when Book Babies Storytime is NOT in session. This program is open to babies ages 0 – 2 and their parents/caregiver.
